At Axalingua, we offer an exclusive Spanish-language program for groups from institutes and schools. It is a unique and limited service, as we work with a maximum of four groups per year. Discover this unique Spanish-learning experience for your students.

Spanish for Groups in an Andalusian Village

There are many ways to learn Spanish, but at Axalingua we offer a unique experience for your Spanish students: learning Spanish in an authentic village, very close to the city of Málaga, while staying with host families who welcome students only once or twice a year.

A Complete Program of Classes and Cultural Activities

Our program for schools is based on the combination of dynamic, high-quality Spanish classes and a wide range of cultural and leisure activities.

Students get to know an authentic village and its people, the city of Málaga; they go on excursions to the mountains and the beach, visit the Nerja Cave, the Caminito del Rey, dance flamenco... We offer a complete view of Andalusia in almost every cultural aspect, making the experience of learning Spanish at Axalingua an unforgettable memory for them.

Non-Professional Spanish Host Families

Staying with a host family is one of the best experiences for Spanish students and one of the factors that most influences students' motivation during their stay in our village learning Spanish. Our families are carefully selected by Axalingua staff and only host students once or twice a year.

Since they only host students once a year, families look forward to the students' arrival, eager to show them our village, our traditions and our land. Throughout the stay, Axalingua staff remain in continuous contact with the families to ensure the students' stay is not just great, but a 100% success.

Horario diario de clases

El horario diario está diseñado para maximizar el aprendizaje formal por la mañana y la inmersión lingüística real por la tarde:

  • 09:30 - 11:00 | Bloque 1: Comunicación y Gramática. Enfoque dinámico, vocabulario cotidiano, debates y expresiones útiles.
  • 11:00 - 11:30 | Descanso / Café.
  • 11:30 - 13:00 | Bloque 2: Expresión Oral y Cultura. Práctica de conversación, juegos de rol y preparación para las actividades de la tarde.

Cronograma de actividades (1 semana tipo)

  • Lunes – Conociendo Colmenar y sus Raíces: ruta cultural guiada por el pueblo, visita a la Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria y paseo por el casco histórico.
  • Martes – La Capital de la Miel: visita interactiva al Museo de la Miel de Colmenar y cata guiada de mieles locales.
  • Miércoles – Tarde Gastronómica: taller o cena lingüística en una venta tradicional para probar el "Plato de los Montes".
  • Jueves – Senderismo Ligero: ruta suave por el sendero El Cerrado en el Parque Natural Montes de Málaga.
  • Viernes – Laberinto de Piedra en El Torcal de Antequera: visita al paisaje kárstico de El Torcal, Patrimonio de la Humanidad UNESCO.

🗺️ Inmersión de fin de semana (excursiones)

  • Sábado – Excursión de día completo a Málaga capital: visita histórica a la Alcazaba y la Catedral; tarde libre en la playa de la Malagueta o visita al Museo Picasso. Regreso a Colmenar para cenar.
  • Domingo – Costa y deporte (kayak en Nerja y Maro): ruta guiada en kayak desde la Playa de Burriana hacia el Paraje Natural Acantiladlos de Maro-Cerro Gordo; almuerzo playero en Burriana y paseo por el centro histórico de Nerja con parada en el Balcón de Europa.

Precios, duración y condiciones de contratación

Los cursos escolares son programas a medida: el precio final depende de la duración de la estancia, el número de alumnos y las actividades incluidas. Como orientación general, el programa mínimo contratable incluye clases de español (bloques de mañana descritos arriba), alojamiento en familia o centro, y el programa de actividades culturales y excursiones de fin de semana descrito en esta página. Daily Class Schedule

The daily schedule is designed to maximize formal learning in the morning and real language immersion in the afternoon:

  • 09:30 - 11:00 | Block 1: Communication and Grammar. Dynamic approach, everyday vocabulary, debates and useful expressions.
  • 11:00 - 11:30 | Break / Coffee.
  • 11:30 - 13:00 | Block 2: Speaking Skills and Culture. Conversation practice, role-playing and preparation for the afternoon activities.

Activity Schedule (Sample Week)

  • Monday – Getting to know Colmenar and its Roots: guided cultural tour of the village, visit to the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria and a walk through the historic center.
  • Tuesday – The Honey Capital: interactive visit to the Colmenar Honey Museum and a guided tasting of local honeys.
  • Wednesday – Gastronomy Afternoon: language workshop or dinner at a traditional venta to try the "Plato de los Montes".
  • Thursday – Light Hiking: gentle hiking route along the El Cerrado trail in the Montes de Málaga Natural Park.
  • Friday – Stone Labyrinth at El Torcal de Antequera: visit to the karst landscape of El Torcal, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

🗺️ Weekend Immersion (Excursions)

  • Saturday – Full-Day Excursion to Málaga Capital: historic visit to the Alcazaba and the Cathedral; free afternoon at La Malagueta beach or a visit to the Picasso Museum. Return to Colmenar for dinner.
  • Sunday – Coast and Sports (Kayak Route in Nerja and Maro): guided kayak excursion from Burriana Beach to the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Natural Area; beachside lunch at Burriana and a walking tour through the historic center of Nerja with a stop at the Balcón de Europa.
