Intensive Spanish Courses at Axalingua

Axalingua's intensive courses in our village are designed to help you learn as much as possible during their two-week duration. With three hours of classes per day, you will see how your Spanish level improves.

Our intensive Spanish courses in Málaga perfectly combine two elements: effective learning and fun. We are convinced that, in order to learn, you need to enjoy the process. That is why our classes (in Spanish from day one) are dynamic and participatory, using materials that encourage students to communicate in Spanish from the very beginning. We encourage you to experience what it is like to learn Spanish in Andalusia!

In September and in May

Our intensive Spanish courses take place at two times of the year: September and May. These are months when the warm weather invites you to come and enjoy our town, Colmenar, and practice your Spanish with our teachers. We will place you in the most suitable level so that you can get the most out of your experience. If you already know some Spanish, you will need to take our online grammar test and a short oral interview at the school or by video conference.

When are the next courses?

Our intensive Spanish courses in Colmenar are always held in September and May. Next course: September 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed).

Horario diario de clases

El horario diario está diseñado para maximizar el aprendizaje formal por la mañana y la inmersión lingüística real por la tarde:

  • 09:30 - 11:00 | Bloque 1: Comunicación y Gramática. Enfoque dinámico, vocabulario cotidiano, debates y expresiones útiles.
  • 11:00 - 11:30 | Descanso / Café.
  • 11:30 - 13:00 | Bloque 2: Expresión Oral y Cultura. Práctica de conversación, juegos de rol y preparación para las actividades de la tarde.

Cronograma de actividades (1 semana tipo)

  • Lunes – Conociendo Colmenar y sus Raíces: ruta cultural guiada por el pueblo, visita a la Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria y paseo por el casco histórico.
  • Martes – La Capital de la Miel: visita interactiva al Museo de la Miel de Colmenar y cata guiada de mieles locales.
  • Miércoles – Tarde Gastronómica: taller o cena lingüística en una venta tradicional para probar el famoso "Plato de los Montes".
  • Jueves – Senderismo Ligero: ruta suave por el sendero El Cerrado en el Parque Natural Montes de Málaga.
  • Viernes – Laberinto de Piedra en El Torcal de Antequera: visita al paisaje kárstico de El Torcal, Patrimonio de la Humanidad UNESCO, por la Ruta Verde o Amarilla.

🗺️ Inmersión de fin de semana

Desde Colmenar organizamos recorridos guiados por los principales atractivos de Andalucía: Granada (Alhambra), Sevilla, Málaga capital, Ronda y los pueblos blancos como Nerja y Frigiliana. *Actividades sujetas al número de alumnos.

Daily Class Schedule

The daily schedule is designed to maximize formal learning in the morning and real language immersion in the afternoon:

  • 09:30 - 11:00 | Block 1: Communication and Grammar. Dynamic approach, everyday vocabulary, debates, and useful expressions.
  • 11:00 - 11:30 | Break / Coffee.
  • 11:30 - 13:00 | Block 2: Speaking and Culture. Conversation practice, role-plays, and preparation for afternoon activities.

Activity Schedule (Sample 1-Week Itinerary)

  • Monday – Discovering Colmenar and its Roots: guided cultural tour of the town, visit to the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria and a walk through the historic center.
  • Tuesday – The Capital of Honey: interactive visit to the Colmenar Honey Museum and a guided tasting of local honeys.
  • Wednesday – Gastronomy Afternoon: language workshop or dinner at a traditional venta to try the famous "Plato de los Montes".
  • Thursday – Light Hiking: gentle hiking route along the El Cerrado trail in the Montes de Málaga Natural Park.
  • Friday – Stone Labyrinth in El Torcal de Antequera: visit to the karst landscape of El Torcal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, via the Green or Yellow Route.

🗺️ Weekend Immersion

From Colmenar we organize guided tours to Andalusia's main attractions: Granada (Alhambra), Seville, Málaga city, Ronda, and White Villages such as Nerja and Frigiliana. *Activities subject to the number of students.
