Accommodation with Spanish Host Families

Andalusians are known for their hospitality and friendliness, which is why staying with a Spanish host family is one of the best options for a Spanish immersion course.

In host families, you will be welcomed as a member of the household and helped to feel at home, sharing in their daily life and customs.

Colmenar, unlike larger cities such as Málaga, is a small town where everyone knows each other. The families that work with Axalingua are also our neighbors and friends, which guarantees the quality of this type of accommodation in Spain.

Carefully Selected Spanish Host Families

School groups are the ones that most often choose this type of accommodation, as students are welcomed as part of the family. Host families include them in their daily activities, celebrations, and leisure time. Since we know the families very well and have usually met the students in person or by videoconference, the homestay experience is highly satisfactory for both students and host families.

Host Family Accommodation for Adult Students

Of course, our adult students attending intensive Spanish courses also stay with Spanish host families in Colmenar. In this case, Axalingua looks for a slightly different family profile than for teenage students. After a brief online interview with the student to learn more about their hobbies and interests, we select the host family in Colmenar that we believe will provide the best experience for practicing Spanish.

Our Families' Opinions

In the following video you can meet some of our families sharing their experience hosting a group of students for two weeks in Colmenar.
